I am convinced that I should treat my hair in order to change my overall appearance, along with other measures such as weight loss/toning exercises, wardrobe change etc I have always been rebonding my hair in the past 10 years. It was great initially and the damage was minimal as I was extra careful with my hair. But with time, and the choices of life style, I became careless with my treated hair; thus it became very damaged. Last rebonding was horrible that I lost so much hair with that. Since my hair became thin, rebonding did not suit my face either. Since the damage was too much, I eventually cut my hair short and maintained it carefully with so much natural ingredients, so it is better now. It has grown up to shoulder length. The growth rate is very slow though. But it looks good. I thought it keeping it naturally, but it doesn't work either. The normal hair looks good if combed neatly. But if not combed frequently, it becomes frizzy and lifeless. It messes up with the curls and shortens in length. I am used to keep the hair lose, so any styling other than a simple updo or clipping changes my confidence level on a normal day. Pony tail is also not an option, because it doesn't stand good for long. So, I am gonna treat it. What is the best treatment you could suggest for me? 1) Keratin smoothing 2) Relaxing 3) Rebonding 4) Perming I am not interested to curl or other styles. It won't suit my face
@SGBV- I am not sure if you got an answer to this question- but I am going to say l love keratin treatment. Around 6-8 months ago, I had severe dry hair. Even after applying all kinds of oil, it would look like dry grass. I started keratin treatment early this year. The treatment takes away the frizz in the hair. Keratin is not like rebounding- I still have to iron my hair after every wash my hair but my hair stays straight, until I wash my hair next. It has helped my hair to improve from dryness. You might have to do the treatment as often as once in 3 months depending on the length and your natural hair texture. You can find organic keratin treatment products. This is what I really love- coz according to my research chemical ingredients in certain hair treatment may cause cancer. You can also try out Brazilian blowout- I haven't done it. My friend got it done, she loves it. It's a bit expensive than keratin and stays longer. For thinning hair I take biotin multivitamins- this helps hair growth
