    Undhiyu The famous Gujrati curry

    Hi All:)
    As promised i am sending in the recipe for the famous gujrati Undhiyu. It is time consuming but the effort is well worth it. Give it a try and let me have the feed back. Any queries will be answered promptly

    Dear Pravina,

    Thanks a million. My husband goes bonkers over undhiyo. Last month, a Kathiawari Jain friend demonstrated how to make green undhiyo (sans red chilli powder,tomato). Though it was delicious, I was still scouting for the red undhiyo recipe which is what Ramji loves.Thank you. Will try and post FB. I can get almost all veggies except tuvar.

    Hello Vidya,
    Yes i can give the jain version as well if u like.If you cannot find tuvar its fine.It will still comeout good. The jain version i find it a little sweet . It is a matter of taste.
    I will try and post a recipe for spinach with Besan and also spinach on its on.Thiese both are family favourites.

    I made the spinach methi besan curry and it was very nice. Thank you so much. Can you please post the recipes for ghatia/ghantia and dhokla flour. All these recipes are bringing back childhood memories (our neighbours were Gujaratis). I have to try out all these yummy recipes.

    Thanks for the feedback. I am glad u liked the spinach curry.
    Malini Dhokra flour is a mixture of rice (american long grain) and Channa dal. Both in equal proportion. Then the mix is ground into a coarse texture flour ,similar to semolina. I am attaching both the recipes . Any prblem please donot hesitate to contact me

    Yummy Puris and potato curry

    HI,
    I am posting a recipe for making puris and potato curry. Puris are always welcomed at the dinner table by everyone.I think it doesnot hurt to indulge in eating fried food once in a while:-D .
