Green Tea - Best Brand in Chennai

    Hi Friends,

    I would like to start drinking green tea instead of my regular tea that i have in the morning. But i do not have any idea on the brands of green tea that are available in chennai and which one is good to reduce weight.
    Please do suggest me a good brand of green tea and how to make it.

    if you don't mind the cost lipton tea bags..otherwise you can get gtee/leaves and make yourself. there is a thread somewhere in il where we discussed making green tea. and yes tetley with their different flavours-lemon, jasmine and mint.

    Hi Lavanya,
    I am a great fan of green tea. I have started taking green tea two years back. My suggestion is the Tetley green tea and it is always the best. It is available in all department stores in chennai.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I tried the Tetley tea and found it became sour when i made it. So it would be great if you could also tell me how you make the green tea and if you buy the tea bags or green tea leaves?

    u should take following precautions while brewing green tea

    • water should not be boiling hot.It should be around 80-90 degrees C
    • steeping time should not be more than 2-3 minutes.The more u steep ,the more bitter it will be and it will have more caffine in it

    Try twinings Green Tea!! some of the fruit flavours of twinings brand are very yum!
