Its most probably a drool rash. You can apply coconut oil on it,that helps.

Other than that I think besan is more drying compared to green gram powder. So if you are using it then use it with a hydrant like honey.

I think even milk cream is used along with besan. so it wont dry the skin. removes the fine hair.

@vijayarahini Depending on the US region, these powders will tend to increase dryness and cause the skin to be rough near the rashes. My DD also faces the same problem in winter.

Calamine lotion works best for the rashes. I have tried coconut oil, aquaphor baby, cortisone cream, regular moisturizer.

For bathing I use Johnson's Shea and Cocoa butter body wash. For moisturizing I use aquaphor baby.

Yes Just as Dinny said, my friend also told me that besan causes driness, not to add the cold weather with it. So I started using green gram powder, and before shower give a massage with either sweet almond oil or johnson baby oil, this keeps them moisturized.

As for the rashes that you mentioned, it might be because of droolin...... apply cocunut oil or try vaseline petroleum jelly for kids.
