Got periods while on duphaston!! Emergency please help!!!

    Im hypothyroid with PCOD. I visited gyno 12 days ago for the same. As my husband and me are planning for baby this year. Doctor prescribed me Thyronorm 25mg, Obimet SR(Metamorphin)- 500mg, one tablet a day along with Duphaston. As I had no periods from past 3 months but only brown discharge most of my days in a month, she asked me to take duphaston for 21 days,two times a day, and then stop the period and visit her on day 2/ day 3 of my period for a scan. But its only 12 days and my period just started. Doctor is away till Monday and her assistant answers to come back on monday. So what do i do now?? Should I continue my duphaston dosage until I see doctor or stop it? Please help me in this regard!!

    Hey dear!

    Stop the tablet immediately.

    Don't panic. Let your period finish normally. Then visit your gynaec after the periods as per your convenience.

    I am a pharmacist, I have seen similar cases. Don't worry.
