Good SLR Camera and Camcorder

    I am looking for a good SLR camera and camcorder. But have no idea to look for which features. Can you please suggest any names(Models) or features to look for?Urgent please

    Nikon & Canon are the best brands when it comes to DSLR cameras. There are lots of models to recommend. If you can specify the budget, it will be more helpful.

    For camcorder, Sony is the best. You can also look at Panasonic brand.

    On my wishlist is one of the new Canon Rebel cameras that is also a camcorcorder. I have lenses for my Canon SLR and now wish the digital version but having the lens system of an SLR with a camcorder function seems like a really good idea to me.

    My budget is $400 per each. At the max I can go up to $500.

    Try this Canon 550d called in the US as Rebel T2i.

    A marvel - I own one.

    It starts from US $ 680 with the 18-55 lens. With one more lens & a few other accessories like filters, macros still it would cost around US $ 1K.

    Yes that's the one I was talking about.....please tell me about your experience with it. I have lenses from my EOS SLR so I don't need additional lenses and my old EOS...my god what a wonderful camera that is. It has the eye focusing and I have taken perfect pictures riding in junks on the ocean...amazing.

    OP: please seriously consider getting this one piece of really quality equipment. If you go to a good camera shop you can test it out there.

    it's a wonderful piece of equipment.

    i haven't done justice to this camera exploring all its features.

    it's very difficult to explore even if you want to - so many they are.

    i would close my eyes & recommend this wonderful camera.
