Good residential location in Mysore?

Hi ILites,
I'm shifting to Mysore. I would like to know about following,

1) Which are all the good places to stay with family which are not very far from Infy?
2) I can speak kannada but not read or write. Which location have good connectivity by buses? Also I prefer staying some where closer to bus stops and rail station.
3) What is the normal rent and advance for a 800 sq ft flat in the locations you are suggesting?

To be closer to Infy, Vijayanagar , V.V. Mohalla and Yadavgiri are good.
Actually Mysore is quite a small place compared to Bangalore, so distances are not very great.
Sorry, i have no idea about rentals there.

Hi,

Vijayanagar, Jayalakshmipuram, and VV Mohalla are good places. Vijayanar 2 stage is the closest to Infy.

As far as Railway station and bus station, as Mysore is very small, it takes only 10 to 15 minutes to these two places from the above places.
