    Hi,

I think there r branded shops everywhere across locations. Have u heard about Nuts and Spices Or Browntree.
These r shops where u get first quality nuts. The rates will also be high.

Am not from Hyderabad dear, but one thing...look out for provision stores run by Gujrati/Marwari. They have stock of fresh high quality dry fruits. Tha packing may not be as fancy as all the big stores like Nuts and Spices and also the prices will be slightly lower, but the quality is good.
Gujratis and Marwaris are known to use dry fruits extensively and more frequently. Their functions and rituals are incomplete without dry fruits.

    coolsandy,
I have noted in karachi bakery the pressed badams are more costly than the swollen ones. Regarding begum bazaar no idea of specific shop, but u will get cheap wholesale price compare to karachi bakery or any other shop. And yes if you go to karachi bakery - road no1 banjara hills branch then beside it is BIKANERWALA have a try there also.
