I don't know why am feeling so off for the past two days..I kind of feel everyone is looking at me differently.. But people are being the same and it's only me being paranoid. what do you guys think will change? For e.g.:If I start looking out for jobs again,will I find it too difficult to get one anymore? Will I be scrutinized for being someone of color?? Things like that.. I feel quite scared..
Not easy Shan ...not easy at all...not when I know deep down what the results stood for...and what will unfold for some of my friends here.
I work with people of all races but few (mostly white) do give a feeling of me being diffrnt from them. I don't really care, jus do my part, keep things very transparent at work. After this result, it makes me think & may be the insecurity inside makes me feel that way, & not people themselves.
All these kids had followed the debates and elections so closely That the children could end up speaking against the election results not knowing what the other child could be thinking. No one would openly favor him but yes discrimination exists !
History shows US republican presidents have favoured relationships with India so far. I want to believe the same happens this time than take the words of celebs.
