Good Brands of masala powders

    SW, agree with hrastro, if you can make it at home, nothing like it yumsmiley but if you prefer to buy, did you try MTR brand already ? I found MTR is closer to the typical pav bhaji smell you are referring to and tastes great with chapatis. You should try it.

    For pav bhaji, try Everest!! Or whichever is closest to your preference - And then add some home made fresh dhaniya jeera powder that will enhance the taste !!!

    Hi ILS,

    I'm living near Woodbridge, N.Va, my mom used to give me sambar powder for a year which I used to keep in freezer. this year I couldn't able to visit India, managed with sakthi sambar powder, some times Ganeshram (777). Suddenly I couldn't get them I got aachi but didn't like it (getting ginger flavor in sambar and not tasty). If any one knew where I can get Sakthi/Ganeshram sambar powder in Northern Virginia please let me know. thanks

    I like MTR Madras sambar powder, with gives light sambar.
