I bought a 10g gold coin at Tanishq Banglore in the first week of Jan. The wastage charges were 5.5% and felt too expensive (in addition to 2% VAT). But they will not deduct anything later if i have to sell and exchange it for any jewellery. In case of GRT, i heard there is a wastage of 3% when i sell them at their shop. But is there a wastage charge and VAT put when i buy at GRT? If yes, what %? Please let me know. Thanks.
