OP, is $300 an upper limit or you have to spend that much? For that amount you can pretty much buy her any of the top brands or even designer brand handbags, coats, watches for juniors. The big hit among teenage girls in India , I have seen is crossbody bags, cosmetics, watches, fashion jewelry, winter coats (if they travel internationally or expect to use that). Something like this? Or coach, MK??

If you are spending that much, you may want to check with her what her interest is in & buy her the branded items. The branded items are at a big mark up in India, so that would be a good choice. I personally think you shd buy her multiple items for that amount, instead of splurging on one (also doesn’t have to be designer brands, I said ‘designer ‘ because of your budget, it can be Anne Klein or similar)

 

OP, how old is your niece? Tory Burch is quite hip and trendy for teens... you can also go for a combo like a Kate Spade scarf and an Olivia Burton watch, or a Casio G-shock S-series (my sil bought these recently for her 2 daughters, 17 & 18)

What age is the teen in? Early or late teens?
Wat are her interests? How about a Kindle or something in those lines ?

 

A surprise gift is always nice.. you could check with her mom if she has something on her wishlist..

Love the ideas above for watches and bags! Check Macys as most branded bags go on sale frequently. You can buy a nice bag and fill it with small goodies, like small perfumes, nail colors, make up, bracelets ( all depending on the age, dont know if she is too young for these)..
