    Hi,

I want to send a nice gift to my MIL on her bday. She is in India so I can do online shopping+shipping to her address. I am running short of ideas as she is very picky in her choices. Last time when I gifted her a Nalli saree she ended up giving it to her maid (that too in my presence)and she told me she doesnt wear heavy silk :(. I asked her what she wants me to get for her, she simply answered dont get me shampoo and creams from US. I felt so bad and confused that last time I didnt buy anything for her while we visited, though I took gifts for other family members (fil, sil her husband and kids) as they appreciate whatever I get for them. Now this has made my husband go mad and he wants me to gift her on her bday to compensate and I am totally confused!!

    Ladies please help me..

    Thanks!

She isn't picky. She's simply determined not to like anything you give her. You could buy her the moon and she'll tell you she prefers Ganymede! Cash is your friend. Sweetly tell your hubby to send her money so that mummyji can pamper herself as she pleases.

Gold is the best gift. Send Money , ask ur mom / sister to get a gold earring or something and present it to ur MIL on ur behalf. I dont think she ll give it to maidgigglingsmiley this time. Some women like pearls( My MIL).

I could not stop myself from wondering :confused2:You still want to gift your mil even after she gave your silk saree gift to your maid. You are a very good dil. Had I been in your place that would have been that last gift to her.

Ask your husband to suggest you something. If she does not like tell her that it was your son's choice. The next minute she will start loving it.. :rotfl

Ask your husband to choose / buy a gift (He would definitely know what his mom likes ) and you can send it to her .

    op,

Buy her the biggest diamond earring that her son can afford. That will make both son and mother very happy.
