Is it ok to give garlic to 6 month old baby? Today evening I heated up some vegetable oil and sauteed a small piece of garlic in it before adding a boiled potato to it with a pinch of salt. I gave this to my 6 month old daughter for dinner. She did not show any adverse reaction for a few hours and went away to sleep. But is this the general practice? Please let me know other mommies thoughts.

    Thanks

    hi,
6 mths is too small for garlic & even fried stuff.try mashed boiled potato without salt, mashed banana, avacado, unsalted yoghurt, boiled & mashed carrot,apple,..........
i think u can introduce garlic by 8 mths .thats what i did .add small piece of garlic & other veg in kichadi(rice dal) or veg porridge.before giving mash it properly with spoon so that it mixes with the food & then gave it to dd.
