    Hello Chitra,

Just take lots of dates, sappota fruit, rice flakes(aval in Tamil), etc.

Red Beet in any form, pieces or raita - boiled and grated added to yogurt. Please dont crush it into juice. Vital nutrients are destroyed that way.
    Have lots of spinach.
Balanced diet and daily exercise along with lots of water is a must. :)

    hi chitra,
whatever food u take to increase ur haem count u should definitely add vitamin c rich foods with it, so as to aid the absorption of iron from the food or else only 50% of iron will be absorbed from the food u take.

vit c foods - indian gooseberry (nellikai), guava and all citrus fruits.
iron rich foods - dates, seasame (ellu),ragi, aval, honey, soyabeans, almonds, radish, carrot, tomato.

Thanks everyone for you replies. I didn't login for a long time and sorry for my very late reply.

I will surely try to incorporate all your tips in my daily diet. I will also ensure I take enough Vitamin C with it.
