I bought this food color in an Indian Store-
    Preema Food Color-Egg Yellow Powder.

I would like to know two things-
Though it says there is a best before date in the cap, I couldnt find any expiry date. Should I use the product. And what is the typical shelf life of food color.

Also if I add egg yellow color to Kesari, will it look good?

I have brought spice time food color. It is a pack of 4 color bottles. This pack does have best if used by date on the pack. You can check the pack once again may be. And this best by date is for 6 months from buying on my pack. You can try to google your product and try to find more information on it.

Hi, thank you for your input I did google and even mailed the company, but no response yet.
I am worried that I got an outdated bottle as the cap seems to be replaced

Go back to the store, show it to them and ask them whether they know the expiry date. Or tell them you will like to exchange it with one on which the date is clearly marked. I don't think there should be a problem...
