Re: Flowers and Angels Dear Vidyasarada, I had the good fortune to visit the Lal Bagh during the flower exhibition in Jan.94. I am a lover of flowers and was mesmerised with the sight. I had paid a good sum for getting photographed there with the flowers as backdrop, but the photos are yet to arrive. About Annai, one must visit the Ashram and feel the flowers. It is such a divine exprience. Bees will be hovering over the flowers on the samadhi. It is beyond explanation, about how one feels there. Incidently, the Divine Mother could interact with all the living beings. There was a snippet about Her- When the MathruMandir was being built, there was a tree which was to be removed (the roots were making a disturbance to the building). It seems that the Mother had felt the tree asking for life. Then She had told the tree to slightly draw its roots and then it was saved. I read it somewhere.
Re: Dhanyosmi ! Dear VS, You, who are already dear to us, have endeared yourself even more by this most wonderful post. If IL has a competition of giving an award for the best post, then yours will win hands down. You were not the mere naar VS, you were the stem from which all the other flowers blossomed. And no ordinary stem you were; the stem was at least as beautiful and as fragrant as the flowers which it bore. Added to that the stem has another credit; it was the most proximate reason for the blossoming of all these flowers. What you said in the last part of the post is profound. I almost have it as a policy of my life. If you raise a question and have no selfish interest in the answer the whole universe conspires to rush the correct answer to you. VS, a small request. I read your next post to V24, the one that starts with Sayang. Will you please translate it into English for us, poor mortal who do not know Zulu or whatever exotic language you have used (or was it Vidyaage, a language in which if one vidya speaks only the other vidya can understand) Great post, great words, great thoughts. Really I am proud to be part of IL. L, sridhar
