A leap year again! I often wonder why February needs to bear the additional burden of a leap year every time. The system exposes the inconsistency of the month. People who are born on 29th February of a leap year age much slower than the rest. India’s fourth Prime Minister Morarji Desai was born on 29th February and lived up to 99 years. Once he said that when he was 96 he celebrated his 24th birthday! Another celebrity that was born on 29th February was Rukmini Devi Arundale who was a celebrated dancer and won countless awards. She was the first woman to be nominated to Rajya Sabha.

I am personally happy that this is a leap year with an extra day in February. This means a few more nominations here! With that expectation, I present the leap year before you!

    My dear Viji
First again! Thank you for your nomination of @Needtobestrong 's How Is Romance After Many Years Of Marriage? Realistically
Love is a many 'splendored' thing. It takes different forms at different ages. I remember a movie starring Mala Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar titled Zindagi (1976). After retirement, Sanjeev and Mala Sinha live separately with each son. The story is all about the pangs of separation between the elderly couple.
I remember the parents of a colleague of mine. I have seen them hardly talking to each other. When the wife died, the husband expired within hours of her death. The whole town turned out to see the amazing couple united even in death but when they were alive, nobody noticed them!
When people reach our age, they understand love better!
    Sri

I nominate Jayasala42's post "Who takes care of whom?".

In that post, the male-care-taker (not exactly a qualified nurse) for her invalid husband, suffers a(n epileptic) seizure. And Jaya ends up with two invalids, one needing immediate emergency care, and the other, her own husband, has to be left unattended while she took care of the hired hand who was sent by an Agency to help her husband.

The challenge of taking care of an invalid spouse in one's own older age is difficult to experience and even more difficult to post on an internet forum.

I am totally amazed at Jaya's strength of spirit. :worship2:
