Shanveeeeeeeeeeee, am so delighted on seeing you here! Thanks so much for nominating Shabnam's thread. It is sad to see someone suffering so much mental and emotional pain. A 47 page thread is quite a record. I love the way everyone has pitched in to try and cheer her up and do hope she finds her peace soon. She deserves to have every happiness in life.

Hi Kamala, thanks so much for bringing Vijima's thread to this forum. I totally agree with you. I can't but admire the enthusiasm and zest for life that she and Uncle have at their respective ages. The way they nurture all their relationships is really noteworthy. Added to that, I enjoy the detailed descriptions of her activities, the place, the travel journey etc. For someone like me who loves train journeys and travel in general, it is delightful to undertake all these virtual travels with her.

Thanks jskls for nominating Rihana's post. Her down-to-earth common sense and the effort she takes to reply to people, whether they need moral and emotional support, some pepping-up or information is simply amazing. I really enjoy reading her posts.

I think this is my first foray into these parts. Yikes! Better late than never I suppose.

I want to nominate three threads -

U.S. Elementary education - what parents need to be aware of by @Rihana

Middle School Education In The Us by @BhumiBabe

Preparing For High School Education In Usa by @WINMEENA

These threads are repositories of advice, opinions and insight into the US public school system, invaluable for parents like me who don't have first hand experience of navigating this system. My thanks to all the contributors of these threads! The first-hand accounts and uniquely Indian perspective makes the threads worth preserving. I would be hard-pressed to pick any one of these over the others. They are equally deserving and, in my opinion, ought to be considered as a set.
