Finest Post Winners - August 2018

Here we are back again to the event of the month - Finest Post Awards Evening! Heartiest welcome to all of you who are here. I request you to kindly take your seats as you wait with bated breath to find out who wins the crown this month.

First of all, I thank all of you for laying out a sumptuous fare of nominations from which to choose. It certainly makes the choice difficult but I prefer this difficulty to the one when there are too few. Am sure everyone loves to play tic tac toe trying to choose from a platter of multiple varieties of sweets or the various flavours of ice-creams in a shop than to have to choose between just vanilla or strawberry. Much as I'd like to think I am Jane who wanted her puddings and pies, that is not possible and I have to restrict myself to one FP Narration and one FP Contribution.

What struck me this month was the number of nominations of individual posts in response to threads. It is certainly an interesting as well as healthy development. It is nice to see appreciation for individual posts which are not necessary OPs. The wide variety of posts (in terms of topics) nominated also makes for interesting reading.

So now let me end the suspense and cut to the chase. Out of the 24 nominations, it has been decided to give the prizes to:

• a very positive, up-beat post which brings us ILites, inured as we are to the unhappiness in the married lives of many of us, some ray of hope

and

• a post in response to a question by the OP - a post which reflects the wisdom and experience of the member
