    Hello @satchitananda,

This is my first nomination ever! I am nominating @Laks09 for her responses / demonstration of expert knowledge on 504 plan, symptoms, therapies applicable for treating ADHD kids. She not only answered the question, but almost offered online counseling sessions to both me & OP of that thread, by following through on further questions. I definitely think she deserves an applause for her contribution. Nominating her Posts #2 and #4 of this thread.

Hi Naari. Delighted to see you here. Thanks for nominating Laks' posts in the thread. It is indeed a very detailed post with all relevant info which makes sense even to a person like me who knows nothing about the US education system and has really very little to do with the education system involving young children. Looking forward to seeing you more regularly here. :)

@Naari - Thank you for the nomination. It seems like I got an early Christmas present. I barely have time to post here and am happy the post helped a Mom get some clarity on navigating the public education system.

FWIIW, here is the English version (google-translate, and a little Nonya fix of the syntax).

Here is a Story and Psychological Philosophy.
He is the king of a great nation.
He continued to fight to expand the borders of the country.
One night ... while staying at some garrison in a distant country, some bug had gone into his ear..
He woke up with a start.
The king’s attendants who tried to extract the bug, tried hard, but couldn’t.
None of their attempts at innovating worked.
Some soldiers escorted the king and returned to the capital.
The King told the royal doctor his problem.
The royal medico tried all of his methods. To no avail.
Herbs were ordered, and brought from far away lands.
The juices of medicinal herbs were squeezed into the king's ears.
    Alas…no bug was dug.

Grand rewards were announced to anyone who can relieve the King of his bug.
The doctors came from everywhere, and failed.
Nobody could get out that pest.
The King was unable to sleep because the pest was flying in the king's ears.
    He couldn’t eat.
The king lost all royal demeanor.
    No longer a majesty,
He now seemed like a refugee in a famine.
    He was bed ridden.
He felt that his end was near.
The fourteen-year-old son, the King;s successor, got his king-lessons crash coursed.
At this time, a saint from the Himalayas, with his disciples, came to the country.
The Queen went to see the monk.
She fell on his feet and cried.
She begged him to save her husband.
The saint came to the palace on an auspicious day.
    Examined the King’s ear.
    Consulted with the king's doctor.
Then he fell into meditation sometime.
That evening he met with the royal couple in private.
"This is a very rare pest.
It is not going to comply to our local herbs.
This pest needs a rare herb that grows in a forest at a distance of one hundred yojan.
I shall send my disciples today.
They should come back within a month.
Then your problem will be solved completely. "

After explaining how to identify the herb, the saint sent two of the best of his disciples.
Since the disciples could ride, they went on the best Arabians that the king had.
In addition, they had a group of armed escorts of soldiers.
In three weeks, the disciples came with herbs.
Since it is 'royal herb', the sage said that a whole day puja is required.
On the morning of the next day, the herb juice was poured into the king's ears at the time of Brahma Muhurta.
In the next few seconds, the dead bug came out.
The monk showed the bug to the monk.
The king fell prostrate at the feet of the saint and worshiped.
The sanyasin stayed in the palace for a few more days.
    The king now sleeps peacefully.
    Ate well.
    The old majesty had returned.
The saint was ready to take his leave.
He and his followers were appropriately honored by the king as they left.
As they crossd the border, one of the disciples of the saint asked him:
"" Gurudeva ... !!! about that wonderful herb, could you expound ? ‘
    Another disciple's question was different.
"The pest seemed more wonderful than the herb.
If it can get into the ears of a man and kept alive so many days..
It must be a very special insect.”
    'The saint smiled, and expounded:
"You know where the pest was all those days?
It was not in the king's ears.
The pest may have been in the king's ears.
And it may have died after a short time.
In that short time, it made an impression of inconvenience.
It made in aimpression in the king's mind.
The king was thinking that the bug was alive in his head.
    The disciples asked:
"Gurudeva could have explained it and asked the king to relax… ???”
    The Sage replied:
“It is not easy to do that .... !!!
The king was thinking that the problem was big and serious.
That's why I pretended that the treatment was also exotic and serious.
I lied that the herb should come from far away.
The herb is only a variety that grows in our own town.
After I poured the juice in the king’s ear, I had showed the king some other dead bug I had caught.
The king was convinced, and his malady was gone.
The disciples looked at their guru with astonishment

Today humanity is suffering from bugs in our minds.
    The bug entered the ear.
The bug that entered the ear had died,
but the bug in the mind is alive.
That bug is causing us to die slowly.
Many among us are pointing to the bug in the mind as the cause of our continued misery, and ruining our own lives.
The bug is not in the ear.
The bug is in the mind.

    Story from a lunch-time at a company.
One day, the colleagues concocted a competition.
To see who’d walk a certain distance, with a paper-weight balanced on top of the the head.
They put the paper weight on the head of an officer.
That officer took careful steps forward.
He was bent, stiff, shifting, etc.. careful to let the weight remain on his head.
Halfway to the goal distance passed
"I can not bear the tension," he said, and quit.
Put his hand overhead to take the weight off.
    There was no weight there.
Someone had taken the weight off deftly, before the officer started walking. He said: "We had removed your weight before you start walking, Sir. !!!”
Laughter all around…. Hah hah hah hah ..

Ain’t this comedy, the reality of life ?

:hello:I remember the day way-back in 1950s, when my dad walked me early morning miles from village to Kumbakonam town for shopping some merchandise, he took me to ARYA BHAVAN in Big Street though there were several eateries before we could reach there. the hotel displayed a board reading in Tamil Cow's Milk Coffee available price per tumbler two Annas while coffee made using buffalo's milk priced at 0ne anna. there is no such distinction made in the same hotel now.
    Regards. God Bless Us All.
