Dear friends, We, the Finest Post Team, wish you all a very Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year. Along with the beginning of 2010, there is also a new beginning to our Finest Post Forum. We are more than sure that the modifications we have introduced will more than please most of you. We have stressed time and again that all posts, irrelevant of which forum they are from or what date they were posted on, can be nominated for the FP of the month. But the trend has been to select posts from the Good to Read forum. Naturally, the majority of the the winners too were from those forums only! Unfortunately, good posts from other forums providing helpful information or great advice were not getting the desired prominence. The general feeling was that posts containing excellent information or advice was getting overshadowed by the writers' forum of IL. Many members have been requesting for a major change in the format of FP to avoid this. We too wanted to spruce up the Finest Post format so no good post gets lost due to lack of exposure or attention. From this January, we are thrilled to announce Two posts as the Finest: Finest Narration Finest Contribution. The titles are self explanatory! Finest Narration will be awarded to posts mostly from the writers' corner of our IL including poetry, prose, fiction and non-fiction stories. Finest Contribution award will be given to the post that has offered the most helpful advice or suggestion, shows a genuine concern or gives information that could be a referral point to many. We hope this erases any doubts in the minds of our members about nominating a post they like for the Finest of the Month from any forum of their choice. We leave it to our discerning members whether they want to mention the category or not while nominating their posts. The category will be obvious from the post that they have chosen to nominate! Thanks to members like SabithaK, Malyatha and others who have encouraged us to modify our FP to suit the present traffic of posts in IL. We sure hope that this adds to the excitement of our members to contribute and nominate good posts and the new format encourages more members to come forth with their nominations. The nomination will bring the post to the attention of more ILites who otherwise may miss out on reading them. The rules and stipulations to nominate remain the same.. "You read, you like, you nominate"!! For the details of Finest Post, please refer to this post: http://www.indusladies.com/forums/finest-posts-of-il/6299-finest-posts-of-il.html#post50197 With Best Wishes, From your Finest Post Team.
