Once again I apologize for the delay in this announcement. It is hard to believe that we are in the last month of 2012. How the year has flown! Hearty thanks to all the bloggers for the wonderful thoughts that you have shared with all of us here during the year. We extend a warm welcome to all the new bloggers and hope you enjoy writing for us and have a good time here.

And while we are on the subject of giving thanks, our finest post of November 2012 is about precisely that. We spend so much time getting caught up in the most complex of matters that we sometimes forget the basics. This post is about thanking the One above for simple pleasures in life, from the perspective of a child.

The winner’s flair for bringing out the child’s innocence can be seen in the simple rhymes, the clear-cut language and the gist of the poem being repeated in the last stanza, like a child summarizing a lesson learnt. More than anything else, the writer goes with the theme of Thanksgiving by serving a reminder to all of us to appreciate what we have.
