Maha Kumbh Mela is a holy festival and is one of the most sacred celebrations of the Hindus. The festival is celebrated every three years and takes place in four different cities, namely Hardwar, Allahabad, Nasik and Ujjain. The Kumbh Mela that takes place at Allahabad is called the Maha Kumbh Mela.

The site for the Maha Kumbh Mela is the auspicious Triveni Sangam at Allahabad, which is the confluence of the three sacred rivers, namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is believed that if one takes a bath in this confluence during the Maha Kumbh Mela he attains freedom from the cycle of life.

Have you ever been to the Maha Kumbh Mela?
