I rarely get facials. If I do,I get it from American parlors coz they don’t over massage and are gentle for the skin. However..The satisfaction you get from Indian facial massages are so feel Good. However, don’t know if it is good for the skin for give so much pressure especially when you start aging.. Your thoughts?
@anika987 I have super sensitive skin I'm pretty much allergic to anything on my skin. Only one time I got facial that was before my marriage and I had allergic reaction immediately with small bumps all over my skin. I think as long as you are not allergic to the skin care products you will be fine. I'm a big fan of massages. If you are worried about the deep massages may be you can ask them to reduce the pressure. My acupuncturist does a mild massage on my face before she starts her therapy and I instantly go to sleep irrespective of the time I visit her. I love massages especially the deep massage. I don't see any harm in them .
They are good for skin and face, if done properly. I don't get facial though, I always wonder if they have washed their hands? They shd never double dip in the facial creams The massage is good for skin and is anti aging
I always ask them to go easy on the massage. I am not a face massage person so don't really enjoy them. I prefer to just get a clean up...which is facial without the extensive massage. I feel the face gets a glow 2-3 days after a facial. Don't know if it has long term benefits. I enjoy pedicures but I feel my feet turn rough after pedicures in palour. I do it myself at home and the feet look awesome...but it is not much fun.
I don`t know about the longterm effects, but if they scrub the skin the dead cells are cleaned up. That will trigger the active blood circulation. I do facial may be yearly once. But every time they recommend me to take every month (marketing). I see the glow of the skin only on that day, not even the next day. But the massage relaxes the facial muscles, that we are not doing it to ourselves.
