F2 visa - want to work, get SSN - need advice

i m new in this site,i signed up with some hope so if anybody could help me pls,m on f2 here which is a worst thing i guess, there is lots of restriction on this particular visa type, we cant have SSN, we cant work, cant have credit card this that u know so my wife with f1 she is on opt for a yr so ,i have only one question what are the best ways to be able to work or to get ssn or to be permanent,for somehow i have to work for survive pls try to help me
