@Shanvy, all of your authors look very promising. [IMG]

I love Jhumpa Lahiri and Indu Sundaresan. I just bought "The Mountain of Light" because I enjoyed "In the Convent of Little Flowers."

Consider yourself lucky! I read some of her books many many years ago. That's a few hours of my life I'll never get back!

There was something about that book. Generally when I read Iam flowing into it .. I cry and laugh those stuff , nothing happened while regarding that ...it was like a simple story of a very cunning businessmen to me .. But later on u find its effect . You know I was in MBA final sem when I read that, in my placement interview I was asked some question like given a amount of money how would I like to invest and I was like cabs in Banglore !! It was whole calculated stuff and in the end I the man proved that I haven't saved any amount and I was like I got a business for life time ! I bagged that job . So I understood somewhere deep down this one has affected my MBA sense than my heart .
You should read other ones too... Pretty emotional stuff .. Add hungry tide ad the shadow liens too by amitav ghosh.

    Wow! Quite an impact! :astonished:

I felt weirdly nostalgic while reading it. Although the characters were caricatures, there was just a sense of familiarity to the book. And I still marvel that it was written by someone who lives in Australia.

    Adding to my list. [IMG]
