Had it been so easier for the world to end, it could have happened a long time back!!! But anyway, all of us are mortals and cant live for ever, so even if the world never ends, we still die. Another way of looking at it....if the world is to end, how much is it that you can do in the next coming months???? Best is to just forget worrying about what is to happen and to live the present and take each day as it comes. YESTERDAY was history, TOMORROW is mystery. The Mayan Calender thing is a hoax. It was publicised as promotional material for the movie 2012, which was released last year. The Mayans could not and did not predict the end of their own dynasty and culture. Why would they predict the end of the world ? And they dint know any "world" beyond their own regions. Besides, the calender they used was a cyclic one , so you cannot strictly attribute Gregorian calender dates to it. According to our and chinese mythology , both of which are much more older than Mayan, the world is not coming to an end any time soon. So relax, folks. The only way the world will end this year is if some misguided terrorist group drops a nuke in each continent to make a point !
