Re: which brand is good to buy electric beater?

Do you want a hand-held or a stand mixer? I have a handheld from Hamilton Beach that has lasted for 16 years (it was a wedding gift) and cost about $20 USD. I also have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer (about $300 USD) that does cakes, cookies, and bread dough. It also has grinder, ice cream, and pasta making attachments.
It all comes down to how much you want to pay. A good method to research is to go to Amazon.co.uk (since you are in the UK, right) and search for hand mixer or stand mixer and read the reviews-particularly the one star (can tell you about problems with a mixer) and a selection of the other reviews.
