Elders should learn to answer the questions kids ask

Aaha Navarathri have come and its time to look up at my saree collection. Started doing that job today and kept aside almost 15 sarees to choose from. Then came my kids:
Shrawan: Amma enna panre(Amma what are you doing?)
Me: Selecting sarees to wear during Golu
Shrawan: Appa kandippa pudavai thaan kattikanuma, katikalana thatha thituvaala (should you wear only sarees during that time? will thatha (grandpa) scold you if you dont wear)
Surabi: Illada, amma poojai ellam panna pora, poojai pannumbothu amma saree thaane katippa (no, amma will be doing pooja, and whenever amma does pooja, amma wears sarees is it not?)
Shrawan: Evvalo naal katikanum (how many days should you wear)
me: 9 days

He started counting the sarees and ended up with 15.
Shrawan: 9 days ku ethuku 15 sarees (why 15 sarees for 9 days)
Surabi: morning and eveningku
Shrawan: (He started counting in 2 and ended up at 18). Appa 18 sarees illa venum inga 15 thaane irukku (You need 18 sarees no here there are only 15).

Me::hide::bonkDont really know what to say, then said there are 2 fridays, those days I will wear Silk Sarees. Then he came up to 17 and said one more is needed.

I really have to accept defeat. And started searching for one more saree (why searching? the blouse should fit)

 

Oh yeah got one 9 yards sungudi saree to wear while doing pooja

 

Oh he wants me to wear saree even at home (which I am not so comfortable at). Whenever he sees me in saree, his first comment will be amma dress sooper.

No I didnot get a new saree (6 yards), but got a 9 yards, as I plan to start doing the pooja that my MIL used to do.
