hi ashwini nice 2 c u.. you are correct not to eat basumati rice everyday as it will affect your digective system, generally it is advisable to have well boiled rice ,basumati is not so much boiled and this is not good to have on a regular manner.try to avoid, take care.
Hi, As far as I got info from a dietician that basmati rice has less carbs than the regular white rice. It is polished but par-boiled rice is better in terms of carbs and for digestion, but it takes longer to cook well and we have to develop a taste to eat it. However, eating rice does put on weight depending on each person's metabolism. Our diet's main item being rice we don't think of trying other grain products. It is better to find other alternatives for rice and reduce it as much as possible just to stay healthy. Good Luck!
