I am not sure on Kalarchikai. But I was too in your boat and my periods were never regular.
I tried Methi and Black jeera( Powder both of them seperately and take equal quanties of both along with water empty stomach every morning) for few months and it did miracle. My periods are pretty regular now and I conceived within 3 months of using it. However was not able to sustain it. But that was due to other issues.
You can give this a try.
