Easy ..quick.. Tiffin recipes...SHare!!

    hi mommies..,


    today's tiffin

    Bread pizza
    -----------

    Bread slices 5to 6
    melted unsalted butter - 2tsp
    onions - 1 finely chopped
    tomato - 1 finely chopped
    capsicum 1 finely chopped
    grated cheese
    tomato ketchup
    salt to taste
    pepper powder to sprinkle

    Mix all the veg together with a pinch of salt . fresh bread slices can be used or u can toast it with butter on pan ( i used butter for my kid needs some fat )
    Spread a tsp of tomato ketchup on it and 2tbspn of mixed veg sprinkle grated cheese on it.
    Transfer everything to a microwave plate and cook for 3 min in high temp till all the cheese gets melted. Remove the slices from the microwave oven and sprinkle wee bit of pepper powder top it with some tomato ketchup. serve with any juice . ( i served apple milkshake)... my kid just loved it and said i love you mom your the best cook..,

    happy2be, this is a great thread- I love the way you narrate about daily tiffins .There's much joy in preparing for one's child and greater joy when he/she eats that dish. Unfortnately for me, i'm still struggling with this as my daughter eats only selective items and refuses to even taste a new dish. sigh!!!!!!!!
    Anyways, keep sharing your daily tiffins and conversations with your DD!

    Thats a nice thread and i can find nice recipes as well...

    I would like to share a recipe which i tried recently...

    URUD DHAL DUMPLINGS / KOZHUKATTAI

    1 cup urud dhal
    1 cup rice flour
    4 green chilly
    salt
    hing
    Soak urud dhal for an hour. After an hour drain the excess water. Grind the chilly first. Then add the urud dhal, hing and salt. Grind to a coarse consistency and mix with rice flour...
    season with oil, mustard, curry leaves and hing and add to the mixture and stir well..
    Make small balls with the mixture and steam it for 10-15 mins..

    A healthy and spicy version of dumpling is ready..

    hahaha...uma...I talked to her class teacher to know the truth and she herself was unaware..she said she'll keep a check and will let me know...First I need to know whether the issue narrated is true or not:)
