EAD renewal

    My L2 visa has been renewed for 2 more years. I applied for EAD renewal and received a receipt from USCIS on 3rd Dec 2011 that my EAD renewal is in process. Can I work till my EAD is in renewal process and my visa is extended? Please advice

    Soumya,
    You might have got your EAD renewed by now, if you haven't, give a call to the USCIS and ask for status. It is illegal to continue to work when you EAD is no longer valid and your company might temporarily suspend your employment until you get the renewed documents in hand. They might ask you to go on Leave of Absence(non paid) until then and you might not need to go through the employment process again. Check with your HR/Legal department.
