Driving license for my parents on visitor visa

Can they get a license being on visitor visa? Has anyone here tried getting a license for visiting parents who are not citizens yet ?

Best would be for them to get International driver license from where ever they are coming from. With that they can legally drive here on their short stay.

Check with your state's motor vehicle bureau....I think some states recognize foreign licenses and if they are just driving locally they can use the India license.
