Dresses from Sarees

    Thanks so much Kalyani. Here are some more. This one is of a plain bizzy lizzy saree which I use for regular wear. This was a plain printed saree with no border or separate pallu. So I used yellow to contrast the pastel shades and lined the yellow dupatta with printed material from the saree. So that looks like a set.

    This is made from a Kanjeevaram Polycot which I bought specifically with the intention of converting it. Used the border and pallu for the front panel, neck, sleeves and for the dupatta. The last picture is of the neck cut from the back.

    Now comes a dress I made of dh's Panchagajam Veshti. :hide: The salwar is of the same material. Both kurta and salwar required lining. Mixed and matched with a green bandhini zari dupatta.

    Satchi, I love the panjagacha chudi very much. yet to view the rest. b4 that, could not resist posting.. embroidery suits.. nice colour combination. You are too innovative.. perfect fittings.

    acho great Satchi... I like this utmost. I love this mango yellow. I now feel very much for given away all my sarees (jus coz of bored of those)... I like this dupatta work very much..

    I agree with Latha on this !!
    The ghagras are so lovely especially the tops are stitched very well and makes the simple dress into a gorgeous one !!
