BANGALORE: Bangaloreans can now treat themselves to a Dosa with a gold leaf layer on it, thanks to Raj Bhog, a new restaurant that opened in Malleswaram on Wednesday. Located on Margosa Road, Raj Bhog provides visitors with 101 different varieties of dosas along with other fast food and a sizzler cafe which will open within the next fortnight. Procured from Uttar Pradesh, the gold leaf comes in a pack.. Each dosa costs only Rs.1001:cheers
True vani... this 1001 dosa cannot give the satisfaction of 40rs masala dosa.. more than the taste it will be the cost that will hit our mind....
Hi Dear, the pics suggestes that the taste of the Dosa is so yum yum. But what about the cost? Guess there is no extra 0 there bounded by the two 1s?
I wouldnt know whether i should eat this dosa or to preserve it .... I guess this dosa is for people who have more money than sense
I have seen Gold flakes IceCream Sundae and mithais with Gold varq....but I think a dosa is too humble a dish to lace it with gold. I for one would never relish this simple crispy delicacy this way. The looks itself is so pricey and the gold would just take away the real flavour of a yummy Ghee Roast.

In the olden days vessels and plates made of silver and gold etc. were used and water used to be kept in copper vessels, as these metals are known to kill microorganisms even in micro quantities (it is called oligodynamic action). However, I don't know about the wisdom of consuming gold directly or about its effects. Besides, are we sure that they are actually using gold or fake stuff? I mean, which business person would really serve you gold - even gold bought as gold is not pure. Are we sure these gold leaves that they claim to serve on dosas are pure or adulterated? I wouldn't buy my unexpected miseries at such high prices.
