Does letrozole work for pcos?

I have been on clomid for 7 months.ovulated thrice but did not conceive even with one iui

Now doctor has put me on contraceptives for 2 months.Next we are trying letrozole 2.5 mg twice a day.

Has anybody with pcos had success with letrozole even after clomiphene failed?

Though letroz has a better response than clomid but I assume letroz drug is banned but still used. Have u tried the max dose of clomid ?

for me letrozole drug worked better than clomid.

I agree that letroz has a better response and is a better drug than clomid. Clomid dries out the vagina & even thins out the endometrium, letroz doesn't do that. But since it's a banned drug , doctors don't use it as freely.

Yes even 200 mg didnt work for me..I have also tried fsh injections for 2 months.

My good friend has problem with endometrium with clomid though she ovulates with clomid, she then changed into letroz and is very happy with the result.

Yes i have pcos..but i respond well to injections..i get 2 to 3 eggs wen i use fsh injections..but i havnt conceived even with those good numbers

Good to know that it worked well for ur friend..btw did she conceive with letrozole?
