Well..she somehow feels irritated when I have a good time in India.According to her,I should have kids as priorities and not vacation for a month every year.My life should evolve around them.

She is okay with herself, her son going out with friends. If I do,she gets annoyed. Some psycho type she acts honestly.

typical insecure thinking. as i said she has everything but is jealous of your 3 day relax time. do not bother. stay .

i would not suggest to stay in service or separate, as long as there is no severe violent fights. staying separate will bring another can of worms of ego where now you might end up hurting your h who might have to hear from his mum about why you are not staying in her house. not worth it in vacation time.

try next year not going to India, same people feel that you didn't come for long time and ask you in phone, when are you coming to India? Tell people I love my place/city where I grown-up. And say you want to spend time with your mom, no body can comment on that.

You should keep going, good for change in life and for kid who doesn't see any other way of life except USA city life. Keep visiting parents and family..You have opportunity and supporting H, welcoming mother and bro in India, nothing else matters.

True..I have to admit I did something disastrous..

Was speaking to MIL few days back and when topic of India came,I riled up a bit..already co-sister triggered me and my emotions were bottled up..

When my MIL questioned something about India,I bluntly told her that am not roaming alone in India but everywhere I go,I take the entire family around and why people are so bothered about my trips..

One thing lead to another and mil started accusing me.

I again said..If I say something, people use it against me and burst out crying.

I went weak as My in-laws started ganging up.its been a weak since I spoke to them or cosister.

Hubby says I started fighting a lot these days..

    It was all so ugly..

A three week vacation is all I ask..and I was brought to tears.

Exactly. Who is she to comment on your life. Next time say it sharply, it's none of her business

Usually grandparents love spending time with grandchildren.
Reduce the time of your stay with her.

    Typical mil .
Maybe she is worried about her son spending on tickets for you guys .
    If I were you,
I would go to India every year. Stay with my parents as long as possible. Do what I want.
Stop going to house where I am not welcome.
Not bother about what the relatives comment.
If my parents don't want me going, then would reduce India trips.
Time to grow alligator skin dear

It's a blessing to have parents to go to.
They are getting old. Spend as much time with them. Make good memories

I teared up a bit seeing your answers...
Yes it is a blessing to have parents to go to..

Honestly..I even get confused when applying for job just to have three weeks vacations to India.I meet my best friend who is like a sister and parents.Thats all I want in life..

This time I fought with so many people..
In-laws,my uncle,co-sister etc..mil is not even picking her calls..

I have a tough life here..My cousin sister is ganging up with my cosister and they ignore me in every getogether.I can’t avoid coz my kids love their kids and the men are very close to each other. So I run to India to meet my best friend who is like a sister to me..

Next year we are planning a week vacation to Dubai and two weeks in India..I don’t know how far I can keep going but I miss my family and friend so much..

    Thanks dear
