    Hi all,

    It sounds silly but my toddler insists on having lipstick. I never use it. She did see on her playschool teacher and in movies. I dont want to use any chemicals on her hence this request.

    Please let me know any natural homemade lipsticks tried and tested and with no fancy materials ...I just want to make it with materials available at home or atleast easily available products in the market which wouldnt have any side effects on skin and can be stored for some period

    Try using beetroot. It would color her lips pink.:blush:. tell her kids are not allowed to use regular lipstick as it can hurt her skin as she is so soft and sweet.

    Combine a few drops of coconut oil, vitamin e and beetjuice and mix it well. You can store it in fridge for a week.it will solidify inside the fridge.

    My daughter is 6 and she does the same... I stopped using lipstick in front of her.. N when she asks i put chapstick n say thats its a glittery lipstick specially for princesses like her.. N she loves it... We need to sometimes come to their level and make them understand n explain to them...

    @Shanvy

    I tried the same excluding vitamin E oil, but it stayed the same liquid form didnt solidify..Not sure of the reason though. Still ofcourse served the purpose and my daughter is super happy:cheer:

    Just want to know if there's anything else that needs to be done to make it solid. Have to do another batch now Since the lifetime is 1 week

    Hi friends,
    You can better make a lip balm at home and it will also act like an lipstick too.Take some beeswax which is easily available in market or in online stores.heat it up well by adding 2tbspns of beetroot juice.now u can store this liquid in a glass or plastic container.After sometime u can see it solidifies and u can use this as a lip balm or lipstick.Trust me it gives amazing results.

    Check for beewax allergy. I would still try it with virgin coconut oil and freeze it.
