Re: PCOS trying to conceive with letryl& deviry

    Hi Rashmip,
For PCOS women, if they are not ovulating on their own, tablets will be prescribed to induce ovulation. You can see side effects in almost all tablets in this world. For small duration of time those tablets will not affect. Don't worry & confuse yourself. But since you had doubt ask your doctor about the tablet when you meet again.

I am not experienced with those tablets but have experienced other set of tablets for few months. For those five days i used Letrozole/clomid & for next set of days some progesterone tablets! Hope this info will help you!

Re: PCOS trying to conceive with letryl& deviry

    Hi Rashmi
The drugs prescribed to you are for induction of ovulation only. The conception part is after you have ovualted so usually no chances of malformation.
These mimick the natural hormones body produces for ovulation. They will not cause malformation in baby.
Once you have conceived than one has to be careful for the drugs which are taken specially in the first three months when the organs are formed.
Folvite is a vitamin which helps in coception & prevets malformations.Given for the first three months of pregnancy usually to all .
Take care of thyroid profile also as low thyroid level also causes delay in conception & may give ride to chances of misscarriage.
Dont worry & if want can have a discussin with your doctor.

Menstrual cycle -*pass this on, will save lifes*

    Dear Friends,

I got this below information through mail today :shock:& i really want to share this to all IL friends.

    FYI, PLZ don't ignore

*PASS THIS ON, WILL SAVE LIFES*

Recently this past week, a 31-year-old newly graduated student, with a

doctoral degree about to start her new career as a Doctor, was flown into a

nearby hospital, because she passed out.

They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter

    to the ER to operate.

By the time they removed the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure

on her brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage.

Since last Wednesday night, she was battling. They induced her into a coma

    to stop the blood flow.

They operated 3 times. Finally, they said there was nothing left that they

    could do.

They found multiple clots in the left side of her brain.

The swelling wouldn't stop, and she was on life support.

She died at 4:30 yesterday. She leaves behind a husband, and a 2yr old

Brandon and a 4yr old Justin.

The CAUSE of DEATH - they found was a birth control pill she was taking that

allows you to only have your period 3 times a year...

They said it interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA

    approved... shouldn't be -

So to the women in my address book - I ask you to deal with your period once

    a month -

so you can live the rest of the months that your life has in store for you.

Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's life...

Remember, you have a CYCLE for a reason!

    For Your Information:

The name of this New Birth Control pill is Lybrel.

If you go to Lybrel.com you will find at least 26 pages of information

    regarding this drug.

The Second Birth Control pill is, Seasonique.

If you go to the website Seasonique.com you will find 43 pages of

    information regarding this drug.

The warnings and side effects regarding both pills are horrible.

Please, please forward this information to as many daughters AND sons,

co-workers, friends and relatives. Several lives have already been changed.

Re: Menstrual cycle -*pass this on, will save lifes*

This story is very sad, I feel very bad for this woman and her family.

But it's important to keep in mind, most birth control pills are not too dangerous. The risks of taking the pill are far less dangerous than the risks of child birth.

Millions of women use some hormonal form of bc, and there are numerous positive aspects. Lower risk of some types of cancer, less pain during periods, reduced size of ovarian cysts, extremely low chance of unplanned pregnancy, etc.

So before anyone decides to avoid bc just because of an isolated case, please consult with your doctor. The risk of blood clot is very rare, but there is an increased chance for women over a certain age and women who smoke or have a very sedentary life style.

Below is a link from the Mayo clinic detailing the benefits and risks of bc pills:
