hi all, I’m 29 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with gestational diabetes (GD) recently. I strictly follow a vegetarian diet on auspicious religious days(which is almost 6 days a weeks), but now find it difficult to control my blood sugar without any protein(egg, chicken and fish). I do walk for an hour a day. I’m scared of ending up with insulin like my previous pregnancy. And from tmw purattasi month begins , I’ve never eaten nv during this month like most South Indian Hindu families. I’m feeling really guilty to include animal protein from tmw, at the same time scared of elevated blood sugars . Kindly post your suggestions. Thank you .
