When she tried to remove my hand
From subway pole

Her father asked
"You don't want her to hold on"

I smiled at it all

And tried to remove my hand

I laughed and I waved "hi"

Then the cute baby got shy and smiled and looked away

She still tried to remove my hand from the pole

I smiled at it all

Suddenly the subway stop came

I said "bye bye"

She did not want to leave
She did not want to leave

She held onto the pole as long as she could

But it was their subway stop

Her father said bye and carried her away
I said bye and wished them good day
