Crochet Baby sweater set and Boy's Vest

The second one....I adventurously tried that.....

I took my DS's T-shirt as a model for measurements

The bottom rib pattern is

Row1: chain 5,make SC from the next chain from hook-4SC
Row 2: make first SC in both the loops, and the remaining 3SC in back loops....
I continued this till the length was the length of the bottom of the T-Shirt

Then, for the body

Row1:I turned the bottom rib, chained 1 and did SCs all the way
Row2:Turn, Ch1,SC in SC, then DC in SC, .....i continued this SC DC Sc....all the way
Row3: Did SC in SC and DC in DC....
Continued all the way till I reached arm hole
From there, I placed the piece above the T Shirt and kept reducing stitches in both sides to get the shape

This I did for both the Back and Front pieces....

In Front, I wanted the stripes,
So I did 3 alternating rows of White and Red for the stripes....and the same way as armhole, I did for the neck also....
and for the neck open in front, I crocheted from one end upto the middle and then turned and crocheted upto the shoulder ....then I did the same for the other side of neck open too....

After the Front and Back were ready, I stitched the shoulder seam....and the Side seam....

For the Neck and Arm hole edging, I did SC around ....and then DC in each SC around.....

The vest was an adventure project for me, as I didn't follow any written pattern , took clues about the ribbing and neck open and tried on my own...it turned out fine, but bigger for my DS..
