Thought of sharing this with everyone. I was watching news yesterday, and really felt bad after hearing this - the state level football players cleaned the cricket stadium for India-WestIndies series. I don't care if cricket is the most popular and loved sport by the Indian people, but why is the government and the sport authorities not encouraging other sports. Every time I read or hear about such stories, I feel sad.
I too feel sad because the other sports in India are not given much importance when compared to cricket. I even tried to train my DS in sports other than cricket. But he has an inclination towards cricket may be because it is telecast in Tv most of the time more than other games or every other boy plays it or the fame it brings. As far as I know it does not give much exercise when compared to other games like football, volleyball or table tennis. Also if someone who has neutral views about cricket cannot watch the match for long. They get bored quickly. Will the authorities ever understand?
