    I will explain you how do the Ganesha
    Take a plastic plate. You can paint it in dark colour of your choice. Then draw the ganshas figure on it or do it by tracing it. Then complete it by beads. Small glass beads are available in the market. First finish the gansha figure and complete the outside as per your choice. First apply favicol over the part you want to do. then arrange neatly the beads over it.keep it for some time it will dry and apply another part like wise complete it fully.
    This is how we made plates for my friends daughters marriage with beads, flowers,chamkis,artificial flowers like wise we prepared 5 plated. The top of all is a fountain plate. done it one by one and finished like fountain. Sorry i have not taken photos of the plates. Let me search my friends marriage albam and if it is visible correctly i will post it here.

    Could you try and get those photos? My cousin's wedding in on May 16th. And am going crazy getting stuff in place. Waiting to get those photos and share it with all of you.

    My Anna's kalyanam went very well.And I made so many aarti plates/vilayadal thattus - with ther help of IL'ites...Will post pictures very soon

    Can you please tell me what velayadal thattu plates you made for your brother's wedding.. Also did you keep
    kopparai carving, chakkara achu bommais, maida cake in the form of saree and dhoti ? Just wanted to know if we can get these in any shop in Chennai.

    Craft Works : Thali Plate Decoration

    Hi,
    Please let me know what kind of paint can be used on Stainless steel. I want to do decoration on a plate/thali, like we find in online websites which are used for festivals. i thought of making one myself. Which would be better a plastic plate or steel plate to be painted. On either of these what type of paint has to be used. Fabric acrylic, oil, or any other kind of paint. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Nags,

    I recently did one on a steel plate. I used Asian paints(small bottle - 18 bucks, available in hardware shops) and it came out well.
    You may want to try it.
