    Dear Sri Thyagarajan:

I read a book called, "Karna's wife - The outcast's queen" written by Kavita Kane on my flight back to the US. In Dwapara Yuga, there was something called Niyoga. Queen Sathyavathi asked Bhisma to commit that to her two widowed daughter-in-law and he refused stating that committing adultery with someone else's wife is a sin. Moreover, he said it can be done only with the consent of the husband and not mother-in-law. Then she approached her illegitimate child Vyasa to do it and one daughter-in-law covered her eyes looking at the ugly face of Vyasa and hence Dhirdarastra was born blind and the other Daughter-in-law had an allergy in her skin on this occasion resulting in Pandu born with pale skin.

When Pandu was cursed by a Rishi that he can never beget child as he would die if he were to be together with his wives, eventually, he came to know about Kunti's boon from Rishi Durvasa and asked her to beget child through that boon. Kunti was reluctant until Pandu begged her on his knees. Finally, she agreed and got Yudhistra, Bheema and Arjuna. When he asked for the fourth child, she refused that Niyoga was allowed even with the consent of the husband only thrice. That is why she taught the Mantra to Pandu's second wife and Nagula and Sagadeva were born.

When Karna called Draupati as a whore in the court of the King Dhirdharastra, everyone was shocked. However, both Kunti and Drauvpadi forgave Karna because he was factually correct about Niyoga as Drauvpadi married five husbands. Kunti also had vested interest as well as Karna was her son which was unknown to anyone. Drauvpadi also had a crush for Karna but decided to humiliate him in her father's court because she wanted to save her brother and also help her father punish Dronacharya with the help of Pandava and hence decided to marry Arjuna.

    Dear Thyagarajan Sir,

Your response is like a politician who has taken a petition from the voter asking for water supply to his/her village.
