    Hi Cooks 2010,

Parkwest apartment has 80 indian families, around 200-300 people in total. This is like Mini India. Many grocery shops are nearby like Wholesome choice which is very popular and has all indian items.

Lot of facilities like Gym, Swimming Pool, Parks, etc.

Vacant apartments are available, Please let me know if you need any help.

Re: Cost of living in Irvine CA- Are you happy living in irvine?

Hi Pavi, thanks for the info, I will surely look into that.

We are still considering whether to move to Irvine or not, since it will be a big downward move from our 4bed/2.5 bath house to a 1-2 bedroom apt. Not sure if the swimming pools, gym, beaches of irvine can make up for the lack in square footage.

Also not sure if we will be able to survive on a single income salary (90K). Maybe I will have to look for a full time job too just to make ends meets.

I was just wondering how everyone else manages, are you happy living in Irvine??

    Hello,

90k Salary should be enough, I know families that are one income families and they survive nicely. As long as you don't go crazy in the shopping malls around Irvine you should be okay.

    Hi

Well from a 4 bed/2.5 bath to 1 /2bed sounds you are right. Though the salary might be enough I don't think you can get a big house or something with more square footage. To be honest I wanted to live in Irvine, in fact me and my hubby looked for some apartments in Irvine but we were not happy at all with the pricing and size of the house. Also it was very far from my husband's office. I don't want to disappoint you but it is totally my experience since I feel you need to consider everything before you make a move.

    Thanks,
    Deepthi

    Hi

Except for housing which is very expensive, Irvine is a very nice place to live. School district and community around is really good. Its one of the best place to live in america
