Conversations With Mini M

Conversations with kids are interesting, and most of the times i have learnt many things....
World is a different and a better place from a child’s perspective....
Here i have tried to capture some random conversations between me and mini me( daughter)


Mini me : mumma why do u look like a big me
Me: no sweetie, you are my mini version, you look like me
Mini me : no mumma, ask my friends their parents look like them....
There ends the matter

So i decide to invite troubles for myself,
Hey sweetie come on lets see mumma and papa’s old photos....
As we keep seeing the album i notice mini me isnt happy or excited, i ask her what happened....
Mini me : mumma you are so bad, you left me alone in the house and went with papa to the birthday party( which was our marriage)
Me: no baby its our marriage
Mini me: what is a marriage mumma
Me: hmm, thinking which word to use and how to explain in my mind, finally i make up mind, it means after this photo me and started to stay together.
Mini me : then why am i not staying with my friends, i have so many photos with them....
Me: aargh, because when you grow up, i will tell you
Mini me : when will i grow up...
Me: everyday you are growing sweetie....


Mini me : mumma can i marry my friend yashika when i grow up?
Me : yes, even she likes to marry you, ask her and if she says yes, you both may, you should not force.
Mini me : yashika has already told yes, when i become big i will marry her.
Me : sure thing and i hug her....
Wish, these kind of conversations was this simple and easy with an adult too..

Mumma, mumma, i love you
Me : i know that i love you too
Mini me : i know that too. Why do you love me mumma
Mini me : i dont have a reason sweetie, but you complete me.
Mini me :Oh like a semi circle completing a circle mumma
Me : hmm yes
Mini me : i love you because you are my mumma


Me : what do you want to become when you grow up
Mini me : nothing mumma, i want to play and then cook and then sleep.
Me: ok, anything else you want to do
Mini me : do you want me to do something mumma


Mini me: mumma i want a baby sister immediately, right now
Me: baby, ok lets wait and think about it
Mini me : no but I need right now
Me : but why right now
Mini me : when you show your marriage photos, i can tell her mumma left us in the home, and did not take us.

I get a phone call from my friend And talk to her excitedly for 10-15mins
Mini me : mumma, fix this toy for me, mumma i want to drink water, no i dont want, mumma why is your fav color, mumma i want to cook for you...
Me : wait baby, mumma is talking to aunty, after the call will do everything to you.
Mini me : mumma, why does doraemon always have gadgets in his pockets, mumma do we live in planet earth, can we call it teddy bear, i love teddy bear..


Me: after the call, come here sweetie, next time when mummais talking on the phone you shouldnt talk in between, i wasnt able to hear aunty clearly
Me: but i am staying with you always, aunty called up and disturbed me..


Me : baby shall we buy a new dress for your birthday and your fav gift
Mini me : no mumma only dress, i have dolls i dont need them....
I dont want party. You me and papa will go out for my birthday


After few days, mini me comes to me and asks, mumma can i get a birthday gift ?,
Me : but that day you didnt wanted one, now why are you asking
Mini me : please mumma
Me: hmm ok, what do you want
Mini me : mumma my teacher told there are lot of children who dont have mumma and papa and dont have anything to eat,
So i want to give food to them and i want to tell my friends also to do.

I am dumbstuck and tears run down my cheeks, hearing these words, somewhere in the corner of my heart as a mother i felt that my little one will grow up to be a good person....

After few months, we gathered my mini me’s friends and i let her do all the talking, she told everything about the refugee kids in her own words, and her friends and parents agreed to donate too....
Today we are donating an X amount and some new clothes and blankets to the poor and to the refugee kids....

I wish my child continues this, when she grows up too....Concerned about others and feeling for them is according to me, the most humane thing a person can do....
Like the famous quote says ‘A child is the man’s best teacher’.
