    Dear Stanlee,

Good to know your wife is feeling better. The constipation is again a normal physiological change occurring in pregnancy, more so in this case because her intake is reduced.

Regarding any supplements kindly check with your obstetrician let her suggest it. Plenty of water, a regular habit of walking, and intake of fibre rich food naturally will help. As I am not aware what are vomiting trigger foods are I am not able to suggest any, greens, sprouts leguminous food, banana and warm milk can work as natural laxatives.

When she goes to pass her motion let her not rush through it and force herself, ask her to take a book or newspaper to relax and pass motion patiently. And to use the bathroom when the urge arises and not suppress the urge or choose a stipulated time that was in her daily routine priory. The body is going through so many varied changes in terms of food intake give it some time it will all settle.

    Take care….

    Rakhi

Have you tried eating oatmeal for breakfast? I did throughout my pregnancy and never had any constipation. Its full of fiber. Pls try it.
